FAQs

How is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner different from other nutritionists and dietitians?

A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner is trained in seeing each person as a bio-individual. We understand that what works for one person may not work for another. We see symptoms in the body as a whole picture puzzle, not just individually such as something affecting “just” the reproductive system. Everything is intertwined in some way.

Part of the plan when working with an NTP is going over many details about symptoms currently happening in your body and we will be able to show you how they’re connected, and the best place to start to get at the root cause.

Other nutritionists and dietitians do not have access to these tools and may even follow different guidelines, for example the government guidelines on nutrition.

Can nutrition really help me get pregnant?

Nutrition is a huge part of overall health, which includes fertility health. There are many ways nutrition can affect reproduction, both positively and negatively. For many people, improving nutritional status can be the missing piece to conceiving. However, it will not be the absolute answer for everyone in overcoming fertility challenges, but it can never hurt. In fact, nutrition can also be helpful in increasing the success of fertility treatments.

What’s the difference between the Feed Your Fertile Body program and the Preconception package?

The Feed Your Fertile Body program is designed to go through six lessons of in depth but general information. Everyone enrolled in the course will receive the same information, but it doesn’t cover your own individual situation.

The Preconception Package, meant for a couple, will dive deep into each person’s individual health history, eating habits, and current symptoms. Each person will receive personalized guidance based on what’s going on in his/her body.

Is it required to have my partner participate in the preconception package?

The package is priced and set up to cover both parties for the sake of optimizing fertility health, increasing chances of creating a healthy baby, and decreasing the chances of miscarriage. It takes 2 people to make a baby.

In the case that you are enrolling as a single woman seeking sperm donation, the male is obviously not required. Before enrolling this way, please reach out before checking out and I’ll send you an adjusted invoice.

Can you just tell me what to eat?

I feel that a huge part of working with clients is education. If I were to just tell you what to eat, you wouldn’t be learning how to make balanced meals and snacks that work for you, and would be less in tune with your body. Creating individual meal plans for each client is also incredibly time consuming as each person is a unique bio-individual with different needs and would increase the cost of the service. Therefore, I don’t create meal plans for anyone, and instead work diligently with you to make sure you know how to make your own healthy meals.

Do you offer payment plans?

Not at this time. Maybe in the future.

Do you offer refunds?

I don’t provide refunds for services that have been provided. However, if you or I choose to discontinue the relationship, a prorated refund will be given for services not yet provided.
